Wire-O Catalogs

Wire-O catalog printing binds your pages through a twin-loop metal wire, so the book opens a full 360°, lies perfectly flat on any page, and folds back on itself like a notebook. Facing pages also stay aligned across the spread — a Wire-O signature that plastic coil can't quite match. It's the binding of choice for price books, spec references, and presentation decks: pieces meant to be used open on a desk, not read once and shelved.

Wires, covers, and capacity

• Wire colors — black, white, and silver are stocked; other colors are available on request for larger runs.
• Covers — printed covers up to a rigid 130# coated stock give the piece a polished, durable face.
• Capacity — wire diameters handle up to roughly 1.25" of thickness, about 250–280 pages depending on stock. We spec the right wire size when we quote your project.

Heavy stocks, tabs, and mixed page weights all bind cleanly with wire — which is why swatch books and sample decks so often use it.

Wire-O or spiral?

Wire-O reads more formal — crisp metal loops and perfectly aligned spreads for boardroom and client-facing pieces. Spiral (plastic coil) is the flexible workhorse that springs back from rough handling in the field. We produce both; tell us how the catalog will be used and we'll recommend one.
