Colored Envelopes

Colored envelope printing gets your mail opened — in a stack of white #10s, the colored envelope is the piece that gets picked up first. 11 sizes cover nearly every mailing: 6¾ Remittance (3.625 × 6.5"), A2 (4.375 × 5.75"), A4 (4.25 × 6.25"), #9 Standard (3.875 × 8.875"), A6 (4.75 × 6.5"), #10 Standard (4.125 × 9.5"), A7 (5.25 × 7.25"), A10 (6 × 9.5"), 9 × 6" Catalog, 12 × 9" Catalog, and 13 × 10" Catalog. A-series announcement sizes suit invitations and greeting cards — A7 fits a standard 5 × 7" card — while #10 and #9 handle business formats and the catalog sizes carry documents flat and unfolded. Printing on premade envelopes

These envelopes are converted — folded and glued — before printing, so artwork prints on the finished piece with a clear margin at the edges rather than full bleed. Because the base stock is colored, design with the paper color in mind: dark ink on a mid-tone envelope reads beautifully, while very light elements may not.
